History & Architecture

Gasthof Zur Post was built in 1330 and operated as a coaching inn. The foundation and parts of the façade are from the Middle Ages, with massive stone walls, vaulted ceilings, and precious wall paintings. In August 1784, the wedding of Mozart's sister Anna Maria 'Nannerl' took place here.
